Plaštanica je izrađena tehnikom gustog tkanja sa zlatoveznim nitima.
Plaštanica je platno sa izvezenim ili naslikanim Hristom neposredno posle skidanja sa Krsta. Na plaštanici se nalazi predstava skidanja sa Krsta i polaganja u grob, a tu je i predstava Bogorodice, Josifa, Nikodima i evanđeliste Jovana. Plaštanica se iznosi u toku pojanja stihovnjih stihira na večernjem bogosluženju Velikog Petka i polaže se uvek zajedno sa Jevanđeljem na sredinu hrama na poseban sto.
