Nikola Tesla (Smiljan, July 10, 1856 - New York, January 7, 1943) was a Serbian and American inventor, electrical and mechanical engineer, and futurist, best known for his contribution to the design of the modern AC power supply system.
He is the only Serb after whom an international unit of measure, the unit of measure for magnetic flux density or magnetic field strength, is named - the tesla.
