SVAROG, Creator of men and gods
SVAROG is the son of Rod, the Sun God, the father of our Universe and everything in it. He is the Heavenly Blacksmith who created the rest of the Gods from the falling sparks by striking the Belgor stone Alatir. He is the creator and guardian of the sacred fire and is also associated with the home hearth, where rituals dedicated to Svarog were often performed. Certainly the most important rites are related to the celebration of Christmas-Svarožić, around the time of the winter solstice: in honor of Svarog, the Slavs ritually put an oak Christmas tree on the hearth, which represented the spirit of the ancestors, the souls kindled the fire of the Sun. Svarog was represented as a spinning wheel, the Slovenian swastika (symbol of the Sun) with eight arms.
As the most powerful god, the entire sky belonged to him - Svarga, Sun, Moon, rainbow and stars.
