STRIBOG is one of the supreme gods of the ancient Slavs. According to legend, he was born from the spark created when Svarog's hammer hit the Alatir stone and from the wind that the mighty Svarog created with each swing.
He is therefore the god of winds, storms, storms, good and bad weather. He controls the weather by bringing cold or warm winds that determined the field and other work for the Slavs, brings health to people, cattle and crops. Stribog is a winged, arrow-headed, sharp, moody, strict, angry, dusty and grumpy God. It is constantly on the move and is everywhere, roaring through wide spaces and crawling through the smallest of holes.
He is depicted as an old man with white hair and a long beard, with a golden bow in his hands. Sometimes he also carries a warrior's horn with which he wakes up the winds, his grandchildren. Stribog lives far from the other gods, at the very end of the world of Law, but like the wind he quickly reaches everywhere, especially if the warriors need him on the battlefield. He is a brave and fearless warrior, together with Perun and Simargl in the service of Svarog. No one and nothing can defend against his power. That is why many military commanders identified with Stribog, seeing him as an ideal, princes often built his idols and respected them. Stribog visited the battlefields to make the last hours of life easier for the heroes who soaked the Slovak land with their blood.
