Caribrod is the old name of Dimitrovgrad. Dimitrovgrad is a town in Serbia in Pirot, in the upper reaches of the river Nisava, on the border with Bulgaria. By 1951, it was called Caribrod, and that year, with the decree of the then Government of the FNRJ, it was renamed, in honor of Georgi Dimitrov, the Bulgarian president.
