Saint Nectarius of Aegina was a bishop of the Alexandrian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Pentapolis as well as an Orthodox theologian, he was declared a saint. After retiring, he lived in the Trinity Monastery in Aegina, which he founded, after which it is called Aegina.
