Metal key ring with motif - Emblem of Russia.
The Russian emblem was modeled after the emblem of the old Russian Empire, and was reintroduced after the fall of the Soviet Union, despite objections. The red color symbolizes Great Russia, the old name of the country, which was used by the Russians to distinguish it from Little Russia (Ukraine) and White Russia (Belarus). The double-headed eagle with a crown represents the old Russian Empire and was obtained from Byzantium in the 15th century, when the Russian Emperor Ivan III married the Byzantine Empress Sophia Paleologus. On the eagle's chest is a small shield of St. George slaying the dragon - which is also the coat of arms of Moscow. Originally, St. George was facing left, and his spear (as now) was in his right hand. It is turned to the left side for a more natural look.
