Libade is a typical and representative part of Serbian women's civil costume from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. It is a short upper garment, cut in the waist, which is open in the front and whose front parts touch. The sleeves are long and widened at the bottom.
Hand embroidery on burgundy, navy or black cotton plush is what makes this costume gorgeous. The motifs of embroidery that are represented on libade will leave you breathless.
