Gracanica Monastery was built by King Milutin in 1315-1321 and dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. The monastery is located in the village of Gracanica, 10 km away from Pristina.
Gracanica is one of the most preserved and most beautiful churches of Serbian medieval architecture. The frescoes of exceptional artistic value were painted in 1321/22 year. The outer parish of the church was built in 1383. Gracanica is dedicated to the Annunciation.
