The Lazarica church is rightly called the pearl of Moravian architecture. It is located in Krusevac. It was built in 1375 or 1376 in honor of Prince Lazar's firstborn son and heir to the throne, despot Stefan. It is dedicated to Archdeacon Stefan, the patron saint of the Nemanjic dynasty.
Lazarica, as a remarkable achievement of Serbian medieval architecture, was proclaimed a cultural monument of exceptional importance in 1979 and is protected by the Republic of Serbia.
