Koporin Monastery is located near Velika Plana. The monastery was built by Despot Stefan Lazarevic in gratitude for being alive in the battle of Angora in 1402 and the return of Olivera, who, as a "pledge of peace," was handed over to the Turkish sultan after the battle in Kosovo. In the Koporin Monastery, the remains of this Serbian saint are found today in the monastery church.
