On that day, Christ came back to them and said, "Go around the whole world and preach the Gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and baptizes will be saved, and whoever does not believe will be condemned." In order to succeed in this, Christ promised them the Spirit of the Deliverer, and commanded that they should not come out of Jerusalem until the descent of the Holy Spirit. They could transmit the faith of Christ to the world and thus saving the people in the faith - hence the name of the Ascension. Hands raised Christ blessed the students and then began to boast of the sky - Assumption, thus, completing the work of salvation, he returned to God in heaven.
