Easter is the greatest Christian holiday. On that day, the Lord Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead, defeated death, and gave all eternal life to all the people from Adam and Eve to the last man on earth. Because of the significance of this holiday, every Sunday during the year is dedicated to the Easter and every Sunday is a small Easter. Easter is a movable feast, and celebrated after the Jewish Passover, the first Sunday after the full moon, which falls on the day of the vernal equinox, or immediately after it, never before this equinox. The earliest one may fall on April 4, and no later than May 8, according to the new calendar. Easter is also associated with the beautiful customs of our people. In the whole Christian world, even with us Serbs, this custom is associated with giving eggs. The egg is a symbol of renewal of nature and life. Easter red egg means joy for both those who give it and who receive it.
