Gavrilo Princip (1894 – 1918) was a member of the political organization Mlada Bosna (Young Bosnia) which was opposed to the Austro-Hungarian rule of Bosnia at the beginning of the 20th century. On 28th June 1914. In Sarajevo he assassinated the heir to the Austrian throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and his wife Sophia. That assassination was the direct cause for the start of the First World War. He and his accomplices were accused of being members of a secret nationalistic organization and subsequently arrested. Princip was sentenced to 12 years in prison – the longest possible sentence considering he was 19 at the time. He died on 28th April 1918. of tuberculosis, caused by the poor sanitary conditions in the prison.
The figurine is made by 3D printing technique, from PLA material (PLA or poly (lactide) is a biodegradable thermoplastic alpha polyester produced from renewable plant resources.), FDM / FFF technology.
