Epiphany is a Christian holiday celebrating the revelation of the Son of God as embodied in Jesus Christ. It is celebrated on January 19. Epiphany is one of the fifteen greatest Christian holidays. According to the Christian belief, the 30th year of our era, Jesus Christ, as a carpenter, lived with his mother Mary and her husband, Joseph, and then at the age of thirty invited John the Baptist to baptize him in the Jordan River. According to the Bible, immediately after the baptism, and it was done three times in the water, the heaven opened and the voice of the Father of God announced that Jesus was his son, and then on the shoulder of Jesus, the Holy Spirit came in the shape of a pigeon. This baptism of Jesus marked the beginning of his mission and preaching.
The Serbs have always been celebrated Epiphany vividly. It is believed that on that day, at midnight, the heavens open, and then every wish can be fulfilled. Consecration of water on this day is believed to have healing and miraculous and called epiphany water.
