St. Vasilije of Ostrog was Bishop of Zahumlje and the Serbian Orthodox Church saint who is celebrated on May 12th. His day is valid for the holiday when the greatest miracles happen. His relics are kept in the Ostrog Monastery in Montenegro as a great sacred place, and are a pilgrimage site for believers of all religions.
Many believe that, if they are vowed to go to the St. Vasilije on Spirits (beginning of June) at the Ostrog monastery, their, or the illness of some of their loved ones, will go away "as if by magic".
